Join us for a meaningful and joy-filled Cake Picnic for a Cause, where community, connection, and giving back come together. Guests are invited to bring a cake to share and a $5 entry fee, which includes a to-go box you can fill with your favorite slices. In addition to our signature cake picnic, enjoy a variety of local vendors, crafts, dirty sodas, a beautiful flower bar, and delicious tacos. The event will also feature a silent auction, with 50% of entry proceeds and 100% of silent auction proceeds directly supporting Peacock Legacy of Hope. Peacock Legacy of Hope is a nonprofit organization based in the Bryan–College Station area that has been providing housing and life-skills training for single moms and their families for the past five years. Their mission is to empower single mothers and their children through Christian support and transitional housing. Currently, Peacock operates two duplexes and is in the process of building two more, expanding their ability to serve families in need. Each mother in the program is paired with trained mentors and professionals who help guide her toward healing, stability, and self-sufficiency. Through this support, women gain essential life skills, including personal and spiritual development, vocational training, financial planning, interpersonal skills, community involvement, and independent living. Peacock is the only organization in the BCS area providing this comprehensive, faith-based approach to supporting single mothers.
